There is always alot of criticism towards HGSS/GSC for the wild pokemon distribution being fucked along with the level curve. But why is it assumed the post game is after the first 8 badges and the first league clear? You have 8 more badges and a final boss to go through, and the Johto pokemon in Kanto would therefore not be technically post game exclusive, while the level curve guarantees you will have difficulty dealing with the rest of the game outside wild battles. Challenge mode of B2W2 raised levels for a higher difficulty so I dont see why this argument would be refuted. Thats just my take on it.
