What you're saying is that Rowlet won't evolve until Alola's long over, which means it's basically getting a pity evolution just to shut owlfags up even though Ash will never fucking use it because the executives and TPC seem to have laid down a rule that Ash isn't allowed to use past Pokemon in a League other than Pikachu, and ALSO going by the Togepi comparison, you're saying Ash will immediately release it once it evolves.
