The Tapus suck ass
Togekiss is a step up from Togetic but both are a step down from Togepi. It's proportioning and biology is thoughtlessly fucked up. Sometimes it's face comes to a point, other times it's flat, the wings seem to do whatever the fuck the current artist needs them to, he feet are detached ovals, and the patterning is too clean and has things like the weird circles on the wings which doesn't even animate well and doesn't make sense, a lot of the pitfalls modern designs fall into are present here.
Base Kyurem is a fantastic design, fusion Kyurem is shit.

They’re all good but koko. Blaziken and combusken veer a little too far away from being avian but are still one of my favorite starter lines, tokekiss is a great Pokémon design in the sense that you can’t tell what the fuck it’s supposed to be, koko is ugly like every other tapu. Kyurem isn’t really a chicken but is a great design, I always loved how subtly asymmetrical he is, it really supports the idea of him being a broken, incomplete creature.

There's a clear divide between bipedal pokemon done right and fursuits. Deal with it faggot.

Human proportions+Human functionality (hands that can grip, arms that have a human range of motion, legs that can walk fine/bend/kick just like a humans, neck that turns, etc)+Design elements intentionally reminiscent of human clothing is a combination that anyone can justifiably call a fursuit.
Blaziken is a full range of human facial expressions away from being Incineroar tier.

There's also the fact that pretty much all the Pokemon who get close to humans in design are made to be weird eerie and very nonhuman in some other way to keep the monstrous identity.
Meanwhile the literal only difference between a human heel wrestler and incineroar are the cat features slapped onto the human frame. Same with Robin Hood and Decidueye.

Primarina's less egregious but still not great.

Humanlike Pokemon aren't inherently bad, but Incineroar and Decideueye are far too humanlike on every count. When you have "monsters" that have that sheer quantity of human elements to them the only thing stopping you from just straight up having a real heel wrestler or archer in the game is the cat/owl coat of paint. They have more human elements to them than Machoke and Mr. Mime who were once intended to be notably strange for being so human-like.

Gardevoir is shit for the same reasons as Incineroar, Decidueye, Blaziken, and others, correct.

Just because gen 3 and up makes mistakes on humanoid Pokemon doesn't mean that every humanoid past gen 2 is bad however, some of them, like the breloom and Shrifty lines, or something like Golurk are obviously not fursuits
