To those who are legitimately "hating" on this game and disparaging people in the comments: The original Pokemon Red, Blue, and Yellow did not have held items or abilities and yet we had a great time with them. They were not in HD, there wasn't an option to have your Pokémon follow behind you (Yellow had Pikachu but that's it), they did not have ride-able Pokémon as we see here, they did not have Mega Evolution, they did not have the physical/special split, they did not have access to the over 700 different moves that exist now, they did not have co-op, they did not have access to multiple save files, and they absolutely had their fair-share of bugs and shortcomings, yet we STILL had a great time with them. These games are everything the originals were plus more, and I'm confident in saying that's more than enough for their target audience (and for me). This game isn't being created with hardcore gamers in mind nor fans that have played through every single Pokémon release over the last 20 years. You have your own game coming later. No, the Let's Go games are focusing on new fans, those who have only played GO, or those who's last interaction with the Pokémon series was 20 years ago on the classic Game Boy. Instead of obsessing over what these games lack when compared to more recent titles like Sun & Moon, we should be judging them for what they are; entry-level Pokémon games that bring the original Red/Blue/Yellow to the modern age and appeal to their target audience in ways that don't go overboard with complex mechanics. If the lack of abilities, held items, and wild (non-legendary) Pokémon battles are deal-breakers for you that's fine, but they're not for me and they're not for a lot of other people. Take your negativity and leave - it's not wanted here. You'll get the super hardcore and complex Pokémon game you're rightfully owed and entitled to as a fan in later 2019.
