I think on objective quality it's not the worst, but it is by far the worst and most insulting thing GF has put out promising "ULTRA CHANGES" that amounted to nothing. We got 5$ DLC tier content charged as painfully going through Alola again with a different Climax and a small postgame story with villain fanfair.

Eh it had a lot going for it besides the battle frontier. Which by itself is probably still the best postgame thing in any pokemon game to this day.
It introduced gym leader rematches and Steven, more double battles too which was fun. Finding both other box legendaries was fun too. That's just off the top of my head.

I can not and will not ever agree with gen 7 being better than gen 6 as long as ORAS exists(mediocre emerald remake undeniably) and its perfection of XY's new features and the newly added ones exist.
Neither compare to the top of BW2 but at least gen 6 is serviceable thanks to its features like pss and super training
