This was said with SM, with USUM, with the gen 7 starters, with dusk lycanroc, with quest, will probably be said with something else in the future, and was probably said more times in the past than I could remember, since XY and ORAS probably "killed" it too.

Nothing kills /vp/. It is just a naturally shitty board.

I dunno, LGPE made me care more about the parts of the series I loved like competitive battles, pokemon designs I enjoyed, and the spinoffs. I replayed Ranger the other week and started a shitmon solo challenge run and have been fighting my friend on showdown with Random Monotype format.

Not true, this place was buzzing with discussion and fake leaks for gen 8 all winter/spring. Then they announced LGPE and everyone left. It’s just picked up in the past week as people are ignoring LGPE and resuming talk about gen 8 again.
