A loot box is an in-game purchase with a random assortment of different items of different rarities. The Meltan Box isn't a loot box because it's not an in-game purchase, the content inside is guaranteed to always be one specific thing, and recharges for free every 24 hours.

I know lots of you guys have your reservations about the new Pokemon games, but goddamn, outright lying about them kind of takes away from your arguments. There are legitimate complaints with LGPE, such as the motion controls preventing disabled players from playing, the reduction of difficulty, the lack of variety and introductions compared to FRLG, the removal of abilities and held items when the game's supposed to be a gateway title, stuff like that. But no, you lie about loot boxes. Fuck off, disingenuous pissbabies.
