I had a good time with black and white
black 2 and white 2 were what disappointed me, the region design isn't strong enough to stand on its own when the dex gets bloated up and the game design gets a lot looser

I only played BW2, and thought they were decent enough. Was BW really that bad? I've played and own every other mainline game, so if BW2 is about on par with BW, it was about on par with everything.

I think bw and sm are both really good first versions and could have been remake gens without a big 3rd version
instead xy never got the z it needed and we got oras on the transition generation
