Yeah, I will agree that Ash Greninja represents something that should be fundamentally disturbing. The anime made Gamefreak create it to serve their own narrative, thereby forcing them to include it in the games. The anime should follow the games, not the other way around. This effectively gives the anime the license to do anything they want including make up new pokemon, and they'll be forced to include them somehow. No canon should be able to be held above the others. If they wanted to have a unified canon, there should've only been one portrayal that EVERYTHING uses from the get go. We don't have that, so that is immediately debunked. All canons are equal and separate. They can't possibly be used as an explanation for each other because they are NOT the same thing. None of them are more important than the others since they are all official, though. You'll have to ask them why the portrayal had to be inconsistent.
