My birthday is coming up and my brother said he’s gonna surprise me with my gift. He knows I like pokemon and he usually goes all out on presents so I’m worried he’s going to buy me LGPE or the switch bundle. I don’t want to support Nintendo or Game Freak but I don’t want to make him feel bad since he’s probably already ordered it. What do?

Here's what to do:
If you do get it, tell him thank you and that you're really excited for the switch. Make it clear that it'd be fine if you didn't return it, but ask him if he kept the receipt because "you're not into the games that have been made recently."
The switch by itself is cool, but the game is shit. Make it clear that you like the console, just not the game.

Just pretend that you're on your phone looking at some news article about the game. "Man, I can't believe the new Pokemon games look so bad. It's sad" ect. something like that. If he hasn't already spent the cash he will probably change to something else.

I'm sure he'll get one. It's not that big of a deal to ask for one if you get a gift you don't like, the money would literally go to waste.
