Still, Pokemon's never been as "SoL where literally nothing happens" as bad as SM, even comparing it to previous iterations there was still at least some battling and sense of momentum. Here, everyone's just chained to the school or for a few episodes some relevant area where absolutely fuck all happens until they suddenly decide it's time for a (Grand) Trial or a serious story arc that lasts for all of 2-5 episodes before they go back to filler.

What are you talking about? I almost never see any XYfags crying about their series. In fact, most have accepted it by now. The most obnoxious are SMfags because majority of the fan base hate SM and they try to act like it’s some second coming when in reality it’s the worse than Best Wishes

Their error is that they think they have the high ground because the writers could never come up with a cohesive plot, but they are wrong because they can't do SoL without putting some action in there for no reason.

Alain was the best thing thing to come out of the XY anime. He deserved to win over shitty ass Ash. Even if they did make Ash win, they would've still come up with an excuse to continue using him for the anime so might as well give the win to a character that's actually decent.
