Are you guys getting the lets go games? Or are you just too elite to get it. I might get it, but I'm not quite sure just yet, seems way to easy for a professional pokefag like myself

Fun is no longer a reason to play a game, OP. It has to be objectively better than its predecessors, worth the money, without any jewery, and perfect in every way in the eyes of us true fans. I've never been so uninterested about a pokémon game, and I bought fucking pokémon dash.
I'm going to skip it, not because I'm an "elite", but because I have minimum standards. Also I'm just so fucking sick of Kanto, I bought Red for the Virtual Console on the 3DS when it came out and I dropped the game at Sabrina because I'm so done with Kanto.

I preordered the game + pokeball plus even though I told myself I wasn't going to buy this awful game. I gave in after I finished Yellow on the Virtual Console. As a Yellow remake, I can see how people view it as an improvement. Rewatching the original anime also gave me nostalgia for back when pokemon was only about gen 1 and gen 2. Additionally, I realized that I'm not a competitive player anyway so I don't need to gatekeep about the games being casualized.

I absolutely 100% support everyone boycotting LGPE though.
I'm sorry I caved in, I know I can't be forgiven if gen 8 turns out to be a shitfest even though I think it would've been a shitfest regardless of whether LGPE was successful or not.

Fucking. This. Why do the HD songs sound so much worse than the low quality DS ones? I don't like the newer ones they added either. The Switch controls are also just plain bad. What were they thinking?

Everything else about it is fine, you're allowed to use the old OST if you prefer as well which is nice, but the control scheme is so assbackwards and awful that its borderline unplayable easily one of the biggest fuckups this year.
