I wish they’d update the current shinies to use better colours. Make them more distinct in the cases of Zapdos, Garchomp for example, but not so garish like Scizor.

For the implementations, 2 is not so easy, you can't leave it to a bot and pretend everything is going to be alright, that's how we got so many dogshit shinies in the first place.

I think there might simply be adaptations that make Pokémon different colors in new regions. I don’t buy into much beyond that in terms of a shiny form that does gives any kind of statistical advantage.

Adding the colors themselves would be fine, but tying them to the names wouldn't make sense. It made sense in Stadium, because you're going from a limited palette to a full one. They could use the excuse that it was ALWAYS that color, and you just didn't know because you only saw it in black and white. The same excuse doesn't work when you've already encountered them with their original colors.

LGPE already has some stuttering there and there even though nothing in particular is happening.
I don't even know how when there's shit like BotW and Mario Odyssey running completely fine on it.
I don't want to be that guy but I won't be surprised if a double battle with 4 flying pokémon kills the frames like with the 3DS, so yes, I think that an aura effect would be just as bad.

I'm fine with 1-3; size differences would be a nice change, slightly different colors were a fun part of the Stadium games, and random patterns could help each Pokemon feel unique.

Different sizes is by far the best idea, plus it's the easiest to implement
Varying colours a bit is good too but requires a bit more work
Negaform is interesting but I doubt they'd do it

I feel like it's something GF would want to comb over for each Pokemon to make sure there aren't any weird results that go against their intentions. Wouldn't be a ton of work of course but a little bit more than what they could get away with for size variance, which could be a flat +/- fixed percent total.

1, 2 and 3 should definitely be implemented. They can base the algorithm on the Pokémon's personality value, so they don't even have to invent anything new.

Idc after the disaster that was gen 7. Even if I did care you can easily hack pokemon into literally EVERY main-line pokemon game ever.
The last pokemon game I bought was Omega Ruby, and I could just use the 3ds camera to cheat pokemon in via QR codes. That is how little shinnies matter.
