Boldore and Unfezant lost without any wins. Pikachu and Pignite were the strongest but couldn't deliver for the entire match. Leavanny and Palpitoad, which were used against Stephan, both had pitiful records in the Unova League. Leavanny, boosted from Swarm, couldn't defeat Sawk. And Palpitoad tied with Zebstrika despite its type advantage. Head-canon it might be, but there is some truth to it as far as the anime goes. Ash's Unova team was barely used, and as such many of them were weak.
