Remember when Game Freak copy-pasted the layout of Viridian Forest, renamed it Santalune Forest and placed that shit in one of their new mainline games? I'm still confused.

The anime (the advertisement for the games) literally keeps saying the one thing against this game

I'm surprised nobody even mentioned this, maybe someone did when go first came out. But that was a mobile game so it was more passable.

If that was the only thing they did for kanto, that'd been fine. The roaming birds, snorlax blocking the road, and mewtwo in the cave was a bit much. And the mega evolutions and kanto starters were even more on top of it.

Don't forget the free Lapras, Charizard and Mewtwo being the only Pokemon to have Two Megas, and the fact that most Mega Evolutions were for Kanto Pokemon, even with ORAS' Additions.

Kanto: 10 (12) + 3 = 13 (15)
Johto: 5 + 1 = 6
Hoenn: 8 + 12 = 20
Sinnoh: 3 + 2 = 5
Unova: 0 + 1 = 1
