you can see EVs and IVs for pokemon, breeding got less RNG and more grinding money instead
also can buy/sell stuff and pokemon on the GTS
no legendaries except for Mewtwo and Rayquaza and when you catch them other people can challenge you for them until you logout and they're released back into the wild
