My reasoning is: I've always liked the "pokemon are supposed to be friends" Approach that the series and the games had. Teaching that the right way to have Pokemon is to be buddies with them, and not to be a slavemaster with a whip, sending them trough boottraining to become roidmonsters. But with all options your pokemon can have, what ends up happening is that pokemon that DON'T have the things you're looking for just get tossed in the garbage because it is unusable for competitive. I want to go back to "see a pokemon you like, catch it, become friends".
