Anons couldn't handle the fact that not only was it real, but also planned and executed per Masuda's wishes, so screamed "FAAAAAKE, lalalalala". I mean, it was pretty fucking obvious that a pokémon appearing in a GO-clone console game, would have not only some correlation with GO, but was more than likely to be teased in-game to hype the GO-playerbase for it but here we are, watching the fallout and retards still screeching it was a fuck-up/placeholder ascended into canon.
