>>36768876What will happen with /vp/?
It's been unbearable since 2016, and it got worse with USUM, and then even worse with LGBT, the contrarians and shills have gone completely insane. Imagine what it'll look like in 2019 when this downward spiral continues and the reality sets in on what this franchise now is.
The board was created in the golden age of the franchise, it was so popular a video game board couldn't contain all the relevant discussion around the games (then HGSS and soon gen 5), now you look at /vp/ and there's zero discussion about the games themselves, no one plays them anymore, it's just furfaggotry and shills calling others bogeyman samefags.
Every single time I browse this board and see another batch of awful news and Masuda saying dumb shit and shills shitting up threads, I can feel my love for a franchise that has been a part of my life since childhood fading more. There's no point to this shit anymore.
Shills would say "the franchise isn't for you anymore", and they'd be right when taken at face value, but for fucking WHO are these games anymore? I don't know what Masuda has in mind but I sincerely hope it crashes and burns fast enough so maybe my kids 10 years from now will eventually get the same enjoyment I did when I first played these games. Pokemon was successful with kids back then because it was good, dreaming up some imaginary audience to justify dragging it through the mud is not the way to renewed success.
