Umb/vap can make semi-decent clerics/walls
Espeon has magic bounce which is a cool switch in while having decent speed and good sp.atk
But yeah, even with all that they are pretty bad because they just don't excel at what they do. I feel baton pass nerfs hurt them a lot because they all learn it and it makes a great switch tactic for them.
