Love the games to death but Unova itself doesn't compare to the Soulful™ regions like Johto and Sinnoh. A little too linear to be the best.

Gen 6 and Gen 7 were pretty damn awful so I am inclined to agree.

Also sprites>3D shit any time of the fucking day, especially when the 3D models are done as lazily as humanly possible, par for the course for Gamefreak.

Are gen 6 and 7 games really bad or do people here think they're crap because they're not as good as gen 5? I'm asking because if XY SM do in fact suck, they wouldn't have an 85 plus on metacritic.

Black 2 is objectively the better game with more content but you'd appreciate it way more if you'd play both. You'd see the continuation of the original's story and how the region changed over time.

I don't care what anybody else says. Gens 4 and 5 had the most Soul to me, and should have been appreciated as such. I won't hate on Kalos since I admittedly have never touched Gen 6, but I currently own Ultra Moon and have found the experience utterly underwhelming. The DS generation just feel the most fresh and "adventuresque" to me.
