These gen also contains the remakes of the first two gens in the "modern universe" so I'll opt for these. Maybe BW2 may ne troublesome as it shat on lore and world building for the amazing rooster it had but idk.

Those games are in the mega universe which really should be dropped at this point to save the franchise. Nothing of value would have been lost, except pokemon (not megas, alt forms and other shit) which one could consider canon anyway. Call it sub-canon or whatever
>Oras and LgpeNot canon. It's just offensive to think that Kanto and Hoenn are literally squares. Even ORAS Zinnia say they are an alt universe of another Hoenn (ie canonic Emerald Hoenn) and ORAS literally contradicts XY so theu should be considered what if/side universe stories

>Gen 1 and 2I'd say they got retconned by FRLG and HGSS altogether. Maybe one can argue Red starter is Pikachu so the canon FRLG is a (unrealesed, unshowed) yellow-type situation in FRLG world. Also gen 1 and 2 may be considered alt universe.
