lapras was a young mons that got separated from parents and its own kind and made sense, ubs are a treat to the pokeworld and alola ecosystem and this is why they are sent back and hunted for this purpose so it made sense also would have to explain why he got and what is that ub every single time, goomy was the shitmon that needed a partner to greed and mature, it was more of a trainee rather than teammate (a shitmon too), pidgeot ending and release was recycled for a plethora of other mons in the anime kinda boring yeah but he also needed a slot for every season and regional bird too
