Voltorb flip is fucking shit and damn near impossible to get a good amount of coins without a voltorb flip calculator online. They should have at least given you the ability to just buy coins but no, you HAVE to play Voltorb flip.

Why not just make Sneasel and Houndour available in Johto? They made all the other ones available, they clearly knew this was an issue, and felt it was worth resolving, why lock those two behind so much progress? What arbitrarily made those two worth the wait in their mind?

It cut down on the abundance of legendaries in every gen, I like mega-evos and the battle transition in to 3D models worked more or less really well.

All the starters are trash, probably the worst starters in the whole series. I hate all the legendaries introduced in this gen except the box legendaries and Victini. The elemental monkeys are the worst pokemon in the whole series and they force you to use them in the first games.

My favorite gen is probably iii or v, so I’ll say I HATE the dex limitations in Emerald and FRLG and I hate the starters from V, but then again I didn’t know how bad the starters would really be after v

I can't even think of anything that's purely good. Everything they did add this Gen was only a half step in the right direction. All of them were done retardedly in some fashion so there's nothing really that pure good to say except things that other games did just as well or better.

>Didn't bring back all of the content with no legitimate excuse not to for the first time.
>Didn't either make the game feel like only one set was needed or do a follow up because muh anniversary no one asked for a game for.
>No camera control so places like Lumiose are a fucking god awful mess.
>Only half as many entirely new species as there should ever be.
>Limited clothing selection.
>No color customization for what there was that could've made it feel like there was more at least.
>Gender locked clothing which was stupid since it meant males got basically nothing and it's not really seen by anyone as socially unacceptable for females to wear male intended clothing even if you don't allow males to wear female clothing (though it should've been in as an option, especially since some of the female stuff was really male intended anyway).

I know it's just supposed to be the area around New York City, but I live far from there and so it didin't feel very familiar to me for an "American" region. And for how popular Reuniclus was in fan art, it got no love in the anime.
