as someone who loved hoenn and saw it butchered, trust me you guys don't want this. although that was actually surprising because frlg and hgss were actually good remakes. but we know now they can't do it right anymore. or just don't care to. plus you're all saying plat is quintessential sinnoh so just replay that. at least gen 4 had the physical/special split so it's not like mechanically there's much for them to fix and modernise

I really wanted them until USUM. After that, I realized I should just go on ebay and buy platinum again. They would surely just be sterile, easy, devoid of soul, and have nothing added afterwards. At least the soundtrack being remade would be S+ tier. But if the remakes do eventually happen, I'll still get the soundtrack off of youtube

I’ll be okay with Sinnoh remakes, since if they’re shit we always have Platinum to go back to instead. I’d be genuinely excited, however, if Masuda had nothing to do with them. Then there’s less of a chance of them being garbage. As of right now, I think Gen 8 will serve as the best indication as to whether or not the Sinnoh remakes would suck.
