BW2 is one of the best games in the series.

HOWEVER, BW1, the one Masuda actually worked on, is nothing special. It's actually fairly bad in some aspects

That's not a high bar to set. Besides, I didn't even say it was one of the worst. Gen 6 and 7 at bare minimum are worse easily but personally I'm not a fan of Hoenn so I like it more than gen 3 as well

I'd like gen 5 a ton more if so much of it wasn't linked to wifi shit that you can't do anymore since it's shut down. It just makes it feel like half a game when you play through it now, which is a real shame since BW2 have some of the best ideas the series has ever had. The PWT was fucking amazing.

Only game I still play. Of course there's Pokemon I like from gen 6 and 7 but once you taste the apex it's hard to settle for watered down.
