Also steel has a meaning of purification and so does the sun and fire. It also was a metaphor for the physical and masculine realm. I wont even go into the plasma meme cause even though it is true, hot things are always placed under fire.
As for lunala, its ghost because the moon is spiritual and feminine. The moon itself has nothing to do with the dark because its also visible during the day. I mean dont get me wrong, obviously everyone associates it with night time but dark types in pokemon are “evil”, not just actual nocturnal or stealthy.
Theyre both psychic instead of steel/fire ghost/dark because theyre linked more to cosmos and alien like shit which we all know is one of the few basic ideologies under the psychic type.
