The god awful unskippable cuts, the story is nice and everything, but the grating part is that it starts automatically.

Fast way to raise EVs and IVs in the postgame.

The amount of cutscenes. ORAS are okay. SM are not. XY are tolerable but they are pushing it.

Add: Different Patterns that affect stats (think Magikarp Jump but if the patterns boosted one of the stats on top of natures)
Take out: Removing Pokémon, at least for definitive versions. You should be able to get around 70% of them during postgame
Bring Back: Dexnav. That would be a way to add new Pokémon to old routes, and should have the Pokéradar integrated into it.

Add: Being able to change EVs however you want after you've earned them.

Take away: Less cutscene stuff would be nice.

Bring Back: Hard mode or some megas if they give them to some of the weaker Pokemon.

Anything that complements filling out the Pokedex. I want an emphasis on collecting Pokemon while you play. Give us side quests for Evolution Stones, or just make the region suitable for an ACTUAL adventure. GOTTA CATCH EM ALL, remember?

Story elements. I honestly could not give two shits about story in a fucking Pokemon game. Gens 1 had the best story because it was, "Stop Team Rocket and beat the League". Cutscenes. Hand-Holding. FRIENDSHIP. I just want to play the game.
