Funny, D/P almost killed it for me. If it wasn't for the great remakes of G/S and Gen5 I'd probably never cared about what's going on with the series now.
I gave X/Y a go and forgave it for its short comings, being they were experimenting with things like Megas and a new type, but they doubled down on it in the R/S remakes and then added Z-moves in S/M. Instead of making better games, like Gen5 was, they just started tacking on gimmicks.
