All the 3DS games suck, but for all the bitching dedicated to ORAS specifically, they're probably more enjoyable to replay than either XY or SM/USUM.

no, its good because it doesn't try to throw out game design and region design by cramming 3-4 new pokemon into each route
I generally like the 3ds games, but this is the worst part about them

USUM has dex bloat, though.

The DexNav is a better feature than Ultra Space, and accessible in-game sooner.

Hoenn is probably one of my least favorite regions, but it's better than Kalos by a country mile.

Alola I'm not sure, but SM/USUM has even more handholding than ORAS do. I wanted to replay USUM but the cutscenes/blockades/linearity is ridiculous.

I will say gen 3 introduced some of my favorite pokemon like the skitty line and lombre line. Also why do I feel like if Deoxys was release today people would complain about it being too weird/humanoid/etc. I remeember everyone hating UB's at some point

dunno SM/USUM are perfectly fine for the one playthrough but I dunno about playing it again. It's in this weird middle ground where there's not enough freedom but the story's too light at the same time.
