You see, when the leak was still in its infancy, barafags had the high ground. After all, they had a "convincing" leaker confirming their biases, right? This meant they could flaunt, parade and chant all they wanted. After all, the world is their VeggieBurger and that new leak want a threat. But sooner than later, the evidence for the grinch leak started adding up, it rapidly started gaining new followers until, in a matter of 12 hours, it became the NEW most credible leak in the internet.
The Crux of the leak?
A bunch of actual good additions and no incineroar at all
This couldn't be! How could people believe such a thing if Vergeben had said Baracat was definitely in? If that were true, the smug, flaunting incineroarfags would be totally BTFO'd and become the laughing stock of the entire internet.
But the evidence kept piling up. By now barafags were on the edge of despair. They're clearly going to lose... Unless...
THEY COULD PLAY THE VICTIM
All it takes is a low quality sob comic, some samefag replies to get the ball rolling, hiding the mean replies and a screencap. Given these, they could easily gaslight people into thinking they're not that bad. Now if they get btfo'd they can just use this as a pity shield, but if they get in Smash they can just go back to square one.
It's totally genius and I actually applaud this last minute Gambit. Incineroar still looks like shit, though.
