>>36852929>>36853278As of gen 7, if you rule out all prevos and count form changes, megas and alolans as the same pokemon, there are 31 fully evolved electric types, out of which only 9 (29%) have a speed stat below the average of 90, and most of what falls above said average sits at 95 or jumps directly towards 105 or higher. So yeah, the type has as much of a speedster stereotype as people says it has. There aren't NEARLY enough slow electric types, considering the variety the type could have if they just put a bit more effort into it.
As for the flying type thing, if it has the highest speed average of all types is mostly because A) regional birds are a thing and all but one are fast, they contribute greatly to that average, and B) the type has 101 fucking pokemon, almost double the total amount of electric types.
