Chinese manufacturers are putting Pokemon hacks on game boy cartridges and is making them look 100% legit. Why aren't you playing these on your game boy right now?

You could do it so much more efficiently with a flashcart. I have one that has a Nes, N64, GBA and DS emulator all in one.
Also, I'd bet anything that the person selling the carts has nothing to do with making the hacks themselves.

Man, I really want an India region so this can be the evil team's plot - they just trick senior citizens out of their Pokémon with spam pop up messages on their PC.

He said if he made one himself. If I made a ROM hack and someone offered to make an official looking cart then I'd be all over that.

Paying $23 for a ROM hack I didn't make - and have probably already played since GBA - doesn't sound as appealing.

Way back I payed like $10 for a physical copy of Chaos Black. I knew it was a fangame and the cartridge wasn't legit but it seemed like a fun novelty at the time. Too many glitches and weird crashes though so I wouldn't want to play any good completed hacks like that.
