Yeah the event is live.
It literally unlocks NOTHING in game though.
Hell even the gen VI legendaries had small events play out if you talked to certain people with them in your party. Zeraora and Marshadow got nothing.

Way less. Zoroark had multiple events associated with it, was the first gen 5 pokemon, and had a very unique ability making it fun to use. Zeraora has nothing
