Do you always use pokemon exclusive to the new region in a playthough?
Or do you try to use pokemon you've always used to beat a new game?

and on replay pokemon i never used, old or new depending on the distribution

I usually try to use brand new pokemon on my first playthrough. If I happen to find an old pokemon that I've never used before (e.g. I got a Wonder Trade Vulpix in Pokemon X) that I do add them to the team.

I would never raise the same pokemon multiple times, if I can help it.

I tried to do that in Moon and since everything was slow as fuck I always ended up attacking second so I don't think I'll do it again in a new game, at least until everyone knows how each Pokemon is
