In the same fashion, the very first time I ever heard of smogon was in 2008 when, lo' and behold, some smogon shitter came flying into a Youtube comment section to tell everyone why they were wrong for liking different things and why they should play by Smogon rules. That was the general experience fucking everywhere pokemon was discussed. Maybe you kiddos today aren't completely stuck up your own asses (yet), but you got the reputation of being self-aggrandizing fuckheads because that's precisely what you and every other community of elitist dickheads present yourself as.
It would be nice if there was a reset button, because just like those other communities, it's not like Smogon fucks don't have a point about competitive pokemon.
