That was it for me at least.

I accepted it was probably real I just didn't want it to be considering the scope of the world is one of the major issues with the switch to 3D. Makes the world feel even tinier than the lack of exploration does in Gen 6 and 7 and this is even worse.

Then it turned out to be 100% real, and all the drones are ok with it because of the flimsy fucking escape clause of "it's mainline and a spinoff but not core, but it's also not a spinoff and core but not mainline" mental gymnastics shit.

The funny part was that people were buying into it specifically because the titles sounded so out there. It wasn't the usual 'Pokemon Fire and Ice, Pokemon Earth and Water, Pokemon Dreams and Nightmares' that people usually came up with. No one would think of coming up with a fake leak and then calling it "Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee".

Not quite. Pokejungle received the image first from an anonymous source, talked about it but didn’t post the image (for fear of legal ramifications). Some time later Pixelpar received the image and posted it on Twitter, so then PJ posted it. All of this was before April Fools.

I cant believe im gonna say this but i kinda hate how 3ds mons looks. I thought x/y was a bit annoying with its linear structure and gimmicky timewasters like the photo guy and the desert, but it made up for that by having great visual shots every once in a while so you looked forward to good shots and cool transition artwork. It was a step up from b/w at the very least. But this game looks like its from ten years ago. If you see how good virtual reality is and how well done other models from games like botw, you can just see how lazy and rushed these models are. The rocks legit looks like something i would see from some souless pokemon MMO on kongregate. Was 3d a mistake? Atleast x/y had the excuse of being the pioneer and having some actually cool visual effects like the webs in the first gym. This game legit looks phoned in and oras looked pretty bad too. Theres some pokemon charm missing when they make this transition, maybe my nostalgia is wearing off and pokemon always looked this bad.
