You have masuda's goal of making LGPE as kid-friendly, SFW, colorful and attractive as possible on one hand, and marketing's clear attempt to make a callback to the normie audience's nostalgic "shivers down my spine" for lavender, with the music and ghosts and whatnot.
Truth is those two things mix together as well as oil with water. Imagine if your parents dress out as ghosts using clean blankets with happy emoji faces drawn on them and try to scare you with it in the middle of the day with a rainbow in the sky and birds singing in the background, all the way thinking they're hot shit and you're gonna shit your pants. That's what the trailer feels like to me.
Channeler looks good tho. Wonder if they took note from hex's popularity or it really is just coincidence.
