I doubt they have anything worthwhile to keep a secret if they couldn't keep Meltan one until after the game released. Meltan and Melmetal are only bait to try and get the hardcore fans to buy LGPE before injecting is 100% confirmed for the Switch title

There will be more - they need to have Mythicals to distribute for the next movies coming in the next Generation. Meltan'll likely appear in next year's movie somewhere.

Glad someone agrees. They seem like cheesy mary-sue pokemon that have no reason to be as powerful as they are. Plus most of their designs are pretty queer. Victini almost makes me a fan of fluffy abuse.
