In terms of region itself, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Johto and even Unova (despite its linearity) blow Kanto out of the water.
In terms of Pokémon designs, gen VI and VII are definitely superior (Tyrunt, Phantump, Noivern, Palossand, Golisopod, Dewpider, Passimian... come on)
I'm not saying gen 1 designs are bad (some are obviously, like in every gen), but they are definitely waaaaay overrated thanks to nostalgia glasses.
And I've been with the series since the very beginning, played every single game to completion, so no unovabortion name calling or other shitty argument to invalidate my opinion will pass here. I'm fed up with Kanto, being forcefed it for the past two gens now, and LGPE will be the first games I will not play. Enough is enough.
