I'm currently playing LeafGreen and enjoying it at it's best. The spritework is exquisite; the overall speed of the battles is fast; the simple and straight forward plot with focus on exploration is much enjoyable. The Sevii Islands are a good surprise. The absence of a true battle facility isn't even a issue.

Generations IV to VII are good too, but they are more flashy than fun and adventurous. That is very much missing.
