>>36866779I'd believe Serebii, but the cunt was personally invited by Nintendo UK to play LGPE, and was threatened by a cease and desist by Nintendo of Japan for the Gen V leaks on his website in 2010. Ever since that time, Joe has been very dismissive of shit unless it's directly confirmed in the game files or from an official source. Even then he doesn't post those leaks unless or until they're proven real, or when the games are released. Joe saying this is a fake is likely a byproduct of his invitation to Nintendo, where they made him sign a NDA or some other bullshit where he can't disclose facts. The fact that he says "it's fake" but doesn't provide any solid reasons or evidence on why it's fake is very fucking telling.
Same with GameXplain, Rogersbase, and all the other big social media participants that have been contacted by Nintendo. GameXPlain is one of their biggest partners; they get invited to events and have exclusive deals with Nintendo such as receiving merchandise and games early for review. GameXPlain, who is usually on top of the leaks and has very comprehensive videos on the most irrelevant shit in a game (such as a 20-minute analysis video for a 1.5-minute trailer), outright either says the leak is fake, or they refuse to talk about it.
>>36866828Refresh isn't pointless; the developers want you to bond with your Pokemon by petting, feeding, and playing with them. It's to show there is a deeper connection than viewing the Pokemon as a set of numbers or a battle machine. Refresh and Amie also provide numerous rewards that incentivize their use, such as affection (you need it for Sylveon, albeit affection can also be boosted with malasadas and Photo Club) and the rare candies given to you by the cafe owner every time you feed an X number of beans to your Pokemon. Photo Club boosts affection and allow players to share creative photos.
