yeah, and they addressed that in SM. he got amnesia the same way Anabel and Mohn did; he was in Ultra Space for too long so interpol picked him up to hunt for UBs

it would've made sense if he wasn't in XY since they could say he's from the PtB2W2 universe

Although that wasn't even trolling, just a generation cut short. They clearly planned a "Z" version that would probably answer to some of our questions.

because answers take effort, and when game freak actually put forth some effort in gen 5, it wasn't rewarded with sales. so they'll just keep shitting out lazy games with incoherent, unresolved stories and tons of kanto pandering.
