Anyone else put off by this excrutiatingly detailed fur?

Don't get me wrong, I was always a Barafag and he looks like a blast to play, but the fur just looks odd

They did say they tried it for Let's Go at first but scrapped it there most likely going to save it for gen 8

lucario doesn’t look as odd and they didn’t do it for pikachu. Also the realistic fire and cartoon eyes make it worse

I know they did it for lucario but I really don’t see it on pikachu, he looks as smooth as ever. But anyway yeah, it isn’t prominent in either of them, but they went way too extra for incineroar

Honestly, Lucario looks as weird once I think of it, but otherwise it AND Incineroar both never bothered me with this fur texture. I just....see the pokemon, texture be damned.

its because the fur is so small and fine. when you first saw wrestletiger, did you think his eyebrows were fleshy tubes on his face? no, you probably thought they were long hairs that looked like eyebrows. the implication that a shaved incinaroar is a lumpy mess under the tiny hairs makes it look weird. im not saying him having long thick hairs would fix it, really they should have just made it smooth with maybe a furlike texture, like lucario had in brawl.

he looks a lot better in game despite the lower quality
