>>36879400>I mean, we're seeing a ton of people already starting to come around to it based on muh personality and muh moveset, some even like how Sakurai rendered its looks. Whether or not you want it to be, it's ended up as one. I'm not gonna be surprised if it's gonna become a fan-favorite as time goes on.Incineroar has been shilled for over 1.5 years now and still hasn't picked up. If anything, people dislike it for its VGC success, much like how they dislike Lando. I can't see Smash improving this image: either Incineroar gets more hate by being good, or it goes unnoticed by being mediocre/bad.
In nipland, Primarina is the run away superfave. US Incineroar polls are more biased against "tranny" Primarina and tend to split between Decidueye and Incineroar.
The ashime doesn't have a fully evolved starter yet, but it'll probably be Incineroar. However, it's almost over, having gone for 2 years and still doesn't have a shillmon.
If Incineroar was supposed to be "the shill" of Gen VII, the efforts to concentrate promotion on it failed. Primarina eclipsed it organically. I don't think this was a case like Gen VI where TPI identified early that Greninja was going to be super popular (not that it had competition) and they weren't sure which of the Alolan starters would sell. Either way, it's too little too late for Incineroar.
