Why does DuArt suck so much at pronouncing Pokemon names? They are either incorrect or inconsistent. Take Mismagius for example. Magi is supposed to be short for "magic;" it's a reference to Mismagius' Japanese name (Mumaji or Mumarji, where it is short for majikku [magic]). Why is "magi" here pronounced mag-gee?
Other names with the shit style:
Ferrothorn: Supposed to be fair-o-thorn. Ferro is short for ferrous, pronounced fair-ros. But DuArt pronounces it as "fa-rah-thorn."
Ampharos: Supposed to be am-fair-ros. Pharos is pronounced like that. They pronounce it am-pha-ross. (Some would say this is a byproduct of the 4Kids era days, but DuArt changed the pronunciation of Mantine and Regice from what 4Kids had. So this is a DuArt thing as well.)
Roserade: Supposed to be ro-se-rade as a nod to Roselia's pronunciation (ro-se-li-a). Roserade has a hard "rose" and then "rade." Even when DuArt took over the dubbing, Roselia didn't have its pronunciation changed to rose-li-a. What's more: Roserade, based on masquerade, should be pronounced as "mas-que-rade" not "mask-rade."
Unown: Supposed to be pronounced "un-nown," like unknown. But they changed it to "un-own," getting rid of its meaning entirely.
Dewpider - Supposed to be pronounced "dew-pie-der," as it is a combination of dew and (s)pider. Pronounced "dew-pid-der" (rhymes with Jupiter). You don't see Sandygast (combination of sandy and gast) pronounced as "san-die-gast," do you? So what's with this?
