>>36884669Not samefag, but I believe Mega Evolution should be considered as new Pokemon. 20% of Johto and Sinnoh's new Pokemon were cross-gen evos and baby forms, so I don't see how Megas are that different. Most of them are also amazing for competitive play. Also, Unova was filled with many unnecesary mons, especially Kanto clones and other things like the elemental monkeys, and I preffer to only have 6 legendaries and mythicals than the absurd quantities we got since gen 3.
And even if Kalos had Kanto pandering, it really pandered to every region overall, especially Hoenn and Unova. Alola IS truly the Kanto pandering generation and the one that did everything Kalos but even worse somehow.
People find Kalos really bad when in reality it was an alright generation, it just had the bad luck to come right after Unova.
