I absolutely love Delphox. He was my greatest companion in X because I accidentally over-leved him very early into the game and he swept everyone I battled. They all learned to fear the rather innocuous name Robert.

I always got the feeling it was intended to be tankish, using its signature move and will-o-wisp to manage damage against it while dealing a little bit of damage.

I'm shit at competitive, so I don't know, but maybe giving it slightly more HP and pain split would mean something?

I maxed Fennekin's Special attack and speed just before the first gym and she annihilated everything in her path.

Unfortunately that all ended when I tried to do some PvP with her.

Delphox is easily designed to carry you through the game but her usefulness ends there, pretty much. Which isn't okay.

You do realize that is the gender ratio they give to literally all Pokemon that are "rare" and game freak wants to bust your balls on breeding right?

Delphox and especially Pimarina are clearly designed to be feminine in design, that same can be said for a few of Eevee's evolutions as well.
