Anyway, I used this art as my guide. The parts of current Luxray that are electric-blue now became transparent. So you could see its bones underneath. X-rays are this line's whole "thing", after all. What better way to convey that, and give the impression of raw electric power, than to make the animal so filled with electrcity that you can actually see its living bones?
I trimmed some of the black fur away, so you could more clearly see Luxray's skull, ribcage, and pelvic bones, and colored said fur electric-blue. I had it as pure Electric Type still.
The only other things I did were to color the stripes on its front legs gold and red, and give it golden claws sticking out. I also made the likewise-transparent tail have a fine line of electric-blue fur running down the back. I tried to make the eyes look crazier, too, but they mostly ended up staying the same. The head looked neat though cuz you could see the teeth and eye sockets.
