>>36891200Thank you, I was beginning to believe that there were no fellow intellectuals on this board. I had thought it had reduced to whining and crying about mere pixels that create a fabricated reality of animal brawling. No one here seems to realize that greater meaning behind the video game franchise Pocket Monsters. People only speak of senseless things like news about an upcoming game or stats or movesets for various fictional creatures, but they do not realize it's themes and morals of friendship and companion ship.
Within the anime "Pokemon" the main character Satoshi, or as he is known within the western regions Ash, has a companion of a yellow electric rodent named Pikachu. This brilliant yet subtle addition of a lifelong companion only strengthens the message of friendship. Furthermore in various Pokemon games the player is told directly that Pokemon are not meant to be used as tools for war, but rather as companions or something to care for. These life lessons have clearly gone over the heads of neckbearded individuals that make up this board.
You see, this board of grown men acting like children is what is destroying the message of Pokemon. They are destroying the friendship and companionship that ones are meant to have their pocket monsters. They have become the villains that they defeat in the franchise that they seem to be so fond of. And it breaks my heart to see them as such.
